About us

Here you will find more information about Esbjerg Shipyard A/S

HISTORY AND BACKGROUND

In 2003, a large number of companies with relation to the activities in the port of Esbjerg established Esbjerg Shipyard A/S with the purpose of acquiring a floating dock from a bankrupt shipyard in Lübeck, among other things.

The Granly Group A/S, which from the beginning was a minority shareholder, took majority control in 2007. With effect from 1 January 2011, Granly Marine A/S was merged with Esbjerg Ship Yard A/S.

Esbjerg Shipyard A/S has two docks with a capacity of up to 4,500 tons at their disposal. In 2016, a significant extension was completed adding 1,450 m2 with 15 meters under the crane aimed at meeting the customers’ needs within shipbuilding, ship repair and sea fastening.

Our target customers include the European market, primarily, and our ambition is to continue to be a full service shipyard with specialised skills within shipbuilding and repairs of all types of vessels.
